With the new iTunes 9 comes a whole bunch of new features, but one sticks out from the rest.  Apple now allows you add music to a certain folder that is watched by iTunes, and whenever you put new music in it, iTunes will automatically add it to your library.  This is a big time saver especially if your just starting fresh and your music is scattered all over the place on your computer.

Just find the folder named Automatically Add to iTunes in your iTunes Music folder (~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/Automatically Add to iTunes/ in OS X; C:\Users\Your Username\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media\Automatically Add to iTunes\ in Windows). Any music that finds its way into that folder will automatically be imported into iTunes.

Another great feature that was added was the new home network option that allows you to move your music around to different computers in your house.  No more trying to find a way around putting your purchased music on different PCs. This is perfect if you live in an apartment will all your buddies.

Enjoy!
